Freedom Boat Club was first founded in 1989 in Sarasota, Florida, USA. It is the oldest and largest boat club in the world. Freedom Boat Club Loch Lomond was established in 2022 with the same vision and purpose – to deliver a hassle-free recreational boating experience for its members – Boating Made Simple.

Who we are
Freedom Boat Club Loch Lomond
Freedom Boat Club launched here in the UK in April 2019 in Portsmouth, and experienced an overwhelming positive reaction from the market enabling it to continue its growth. Freedom Boat Club came to Loch Lomond 3 years later to offer Scotland the same opportunity.

Our Values
Freedom Boat Club Loch Lomond values
At the time, the concept was considered revolutionary and break-through. Boaters were either traditional boat owners, or friends of boat owners. There were no boat clubs, fractional boating, boating timeshare, or even many boat rental facilities. When Freedom Boat Club launched, this new offering presented an exciting new alternative that opened the waterways to newcomers as well as lapsed boaters.
Once our members are qualified at RYA Powerboat 2 level, Freedom Boat Club Loch Lomond offers them unlimited training and familiarisation on the loch to encourage respectful and responsible boating. We have strong environmental values and are known for our sensible members.
In May of 2019, Freedom Boat Club was acquired by Brunswick Corporation. A leader in the marine space, Brunswick’s portfolio includes Mercury Marine engines along with boat brands including Bayliner, Quicksilver, Boston Whaler, Cypress Cay Pontoon Boats, and Sea Ray among several others.
